Folders can now be FAST_OPEN'd, which is used by the background account synchronizer to quickly determine what changes have occurred to a folder and get it up-to-date. I've used Geary for a few days with these changes and have seen a dramatic difference in sluggishness. There are still CPU spikes when background work is detected, but not like before and not nearly as sustained. |

Geary Email Client

Geary is an email client built for the GNOME desktop environment. It
allows you to read and send email with a simple, modern interface.

The first time Geary is launched, it will prompt for your account
information. Note that your email password is stored securely in the
Gnome Keyring.
Geary will then begin downloading messages in your inbox and other
folders.
